HARDSHIPS ARE OUR GREATEST TEACHERS

Rethink how you approach hardships

When hardships hit us, we tend to think our world is about to end, and that life will never be the same again. This is going to sound crazy, but I want you to consider that the 7 words above in italics are actually good thing. Stay with me here, I promise I’m not crazy. As the survivor of a chronic illness that nearly killed me several years ago, I know what I’m talking about.

Hardships, whether physical, emotional, or financial, are placed in our path in order to bring about the very change that you are so instantly afraid of. Their purpose is to wake you up to something that needs to be cleared out of your life. This can be a person, an attitude, a job, negative energy, or even fear itself.

Our ego has us convinced that anything that isn’t the current status quo is to be feared, that disrupting it will somehow wreck our life or harm us in some unknown way. The ego is the root of and creator of fear. Instead of falling into its trap and immediately beginning to worry about all the possibilities of what could happen, try letting go rather than trying to control. Use the hardship to your advantage and think about what it might be trying to teach you. Wrap your head around the idea that something amazing and transformative is going to happen as a result. Generally speaking, the bigger the problem (or pile of problems), the greater the transformation that is going to take place later.

Trust and Believe

The best thing you can do is to consistently practice releasing the fear you have over the situation at hand, and replacing it with an unwavering faith that it will all work out as it is meant to be. Trust and believe that everything happens for a greater purpose, and that it will not usually be revealed to you until it’s over. Only then can you look back on it and clearly see why it happened. Only then will you realize how lucky you were to got through such a hard time; without it, you wouldn’t have changed into a better, stronger version of yourself.

The purpose of hardships

Hardships, no matter what form(s) they take, are there to teach us. They push us to reconnect with source energy. They make us challenge ourselves in ways we wouldn’t have attempted without them. They can force us to completely transform our minds and/or bodies and/or souls into something so much more wonderful and amazing that we hardly recognize our old selves after a while!

The trick is to embrace the hardship – no matter how difficult and foreign it may seem to do so, and it will be difficult and feel foreign! Focus on WHY it’s there and WHAT it’s meant to teach you. Within those answers lies the key to removing the obstacles. The sooner you can identify the “why” and the “what” and take the appropriate actions to make the needed changes in your life, the sooner the path clears again. The hard times will clear away because they are no longer needed after the lesson is learned. Within the lesson lies the key to your future, your next amazing incarnation within this lifetime.

Search for the truth within the troubles; the mountain is not there to crush you beneath it…it is there for you to CLIMB.
